No, we provide professional feed called Bil-Jac. Bil-Jac is a high protein, poultry based dry pet food. Although this food is very palatable and the majority of our guests do well on it, some customers choose to keep their pet on their own diet. If you wish to bring your own food, all we ask is that you only bring enough for your pet’s stay and that it is packaged in a bag or reseal able container that we can label with your pet’s name and feeding instructions.

We provide cots and bedding here, but you are welcome to bring comforts from home if you prefer.

All dogs must have the following:
Distemper
Rabies
Bordetella (Kennel Cough Vaccination)

All cats must have the following:
Rabies
Feline Distemper

Although it rarely occurs, our professionally trained staff is experienced at recognizing illness. If this is the case, we provide transportation to the pet’s own veterinarian whenever possible. If this is not possible (i.e. out-of-state) we use a local veterinarian and seek immediate treatment to protect your pet’s well-being.

If your pet is on medication, clearly label the medication with the proper dosage and frequency and our staff will administer it appropriately.

Even though all of our guests are provided with water 24 hours a day they will often seem thirsty when they first get home. This is not uncommon and is caused by the excitement and anxiety of being reunited with their owner. It is best to limit their water intake for the first hour of arriving home until they settle down.

Are you tired when you get home from vacation? Well, it’s no different for your pet! After spending a week or two in a strange bed and a different environment we’re all tired. Let’s face it, there is no place like home and in a day or two we are all back to our old selves again.
